Falafel lovers in Glen Allen will have a reason to rejoice this weekend.
On Saturday, Cava (9964 Brook Road, Glen Allen) is opening in the Creeks at Virginia Centre shopping center.
The latest outpost for fast-casual health-centered Mediterranean meals is 2,880 square feet and will have the same interior design schematic as other Cavas.

Cava serves chef-curated or fully customized bowls and pitas, including three brand new menu items launched in partnership with track gold medalist Gabby Thomas.
Her menu features spicy lamb and avocado ($16.25), which are spicy lamb meatballs, avocado feta, red pepper hummus, pickled onions, lentils and lemon herb tahini. Her garlic chicken and veggie ($11.35) wrap comes with tzatziki, tomato and onion, pickles, cabbage slaw, and crumbled feta, and is topped with savory garlic dressing and wrapped up in a fluffy, sprouted whole-grain pita. And the falafel crunch ($11.35) comes with feta, Persian cucumber, pickled onions, cabbage slaw, romaine, tomato and onion and basmati rice that’s topped with pita crisps for crunch.
Cava also serves drinks like Strawberry Citrus ($3.20), Blueberry Lavender ($3.20) and Cucumber Mint Lime ($3.20).
At present, the restaurant has six restaurants in the Richmond market (three in Richmond, two in Midlothian and one in Chesterfield). Cava has 34 restaurants in Virginia and 324 restaurants in the U.S. The corporation was co-founded by Brett Schulman, Ted Xenohristos, Ike Grigoropoulos and Dimitri Moshovitis in 2010.
