      The 10th annual Untold Stories event in Ashland/Hanover, titled "Growing Up in Ashland and Hanover County: Black and White Experiences", features oral histories shared by elder community members. Panelists discuss their experiences during the period of "Freedom of Choice" and school integration, providing a platform for open dialogue on past hardships. The event encourages crucial conversations and understanding among diverse backgrounds, with this year's topic focusing on "Life in the Community". Co-founders Anthony Keitt and Barry Green initiated Untold Stories in 2015, blending the concepts of Black history and community involvement. The event, open to the public, culminates with a performance by the Untold Stories Community Gospel Choir.
