The Richmond region got another coating of snow overnight Friday and into Saturday morning. Most of the metro area got 2 to 3 inches, while localities farther south, like Petersburg and Blackstone, reported 4 inches or more.

1 inch: Ruther Glen, Caroline

2 inches: Short Pump, Henrico

The region is expected to see clear skies on Sunday, with a high temperature around 42 degrees. In the evening, the temperature is expected to drop into the mid-20s.

State police report 94 crashes
Between 12:01 a.m. Saturday and noon, Virginia State Police responded to more than 400 incidents and 94 crashes statewide; 28 of those crashes were in the Richmond district.
Troopers in the Chesapeake district responded to 37 crashes.
Virginia State Police’s Richmond district includes 25 localities across central Virginia, including the cities of Colonial Heights, Hopewell, Petersburg and Richmond, and the surrounding counties of Amelia, Caroline, Charles City, Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Essex, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, King George, King and Queen, King William, Lancaster, Louisa, New Kent, Northumberland, Nottoway, Powhatan, Prince George, Richmond County and Westmoreland.
